Order this latest edition from the makers of Soldier Story, "U.S. MARINES IN AFGHANISTAN"

The back of the box show the figure and accessories available in the box. Normally these figure don come with instruction booklet. You have to rely on the back of the box to fix up all the accessories to the figure. Quite challenging for novice like me.

This is original outlook of the figure.
Actually that figure is consider damn awesome gorgeous to me. But when I first pre-order this, I have more ambitious plan for it.
As big fan of Modern Warefare series. I modified slightly to the figure that above.

Close up to the head. By removing the yellow sunglass and the head cam, then pulling up the desert head mask and replacing to a dark sunglasses to achieve a 100% likeness to the game figure.

The glove hands. This time Soldier Story figures has made a tremendous improvement to the accessories set compare to the previous ones I bought. For example, the glove hand are now painted to the hands rather than using cloth glove set which I have to spent hours to fit to the figure's bare hand.

The weapon, M4 carbine.

As I do not have a working table, I temporary setup the stuffs on my small TR table. Of cos lockup the door, just in case my daughter comes in and disturb my stuffs.

Lastly everything setup displayed in the casing with the game cover as the backdrop.
And last but not least, my full collection of Modern Warefare 2 series.
I know, I am one crazy gamer fan .

DIY Controllers stand.

To activate my threate system no matter for playing games or watching movie, I need always need my remote controller to be by my side at all time. Sometime I tend to leave my remote at every corner of my TR, giving me a lot of problem looking for it especially when switch off the lights in the TR.

Until one day I came in an idea with a Toy + ikea tool + XXX brand of remote container came out my very own IRON MAN remote controller stand.
The toy figure is from Mighty Muggs, featuring IRON MAN with a base I took from my HOT TOYS Iron Man figure.
The whole view from my DIY stand. Just nice at the sitting height when sitting on my new beanbag.
Now what is left missing is a DIY snack stand. Well... maybe I can put that to my consideration too.

Due to my daughter was having a mild fever, I can't really celebrate Valentine's Day with Mrs Foon. Anyway Mrs Foon told me that it is not very important to celebrate it this day as it is just a chance for ppl to earn money out of it.Women are women (Can't say girls as referring to Mrs Foon as she getting old...Haaa..Haaa, OMG she is gonna pull my ear when she see this post), she still hoping to have a pleasant surprise from me.I got her this instead.

She was long to have an ice-cream from Haagen Dazs, so I got her the "Perfect Gift" ice-cream cake for her.
of cos I have scored points and she was indeed touched but also heart-ache for me to spent such an expensive cake.

NTU organized a Faculty and Staff Giving kick off party and at the same time celebrating 人日, the seventh day of CNY.
The party about to start, full of NTU staffs and this is not the full strength.
At the meantime while everyone are busy queuing for snacks before the Lou Hei,
Others busy queuing to touch the 财神爷。
Knowing is a fake one, but everyone wished to touch for a sake of good luck.
My colleague also queuing for good food too.
Getting alot of ppl coming in. We got to grab a table fast for Lou Hei, standing by...
Within few minutes, all the tables are full...

Barney Ross is one of my latest 1/6 figure collections. Initially I was attracted to the movie instead of the Sylvester Stallion "Barney Ross". But after looking the details of the toy figure, change my mind to collect it too.

The back showed Barney Ross in full. When the box cover is removed, the back revealed the back taboo of Barney Ross.
In front, the figure is package within the shape of the skull.
The package is quite attractive, making you just to display the box only. But there are some Internet users has post their share of it which makes you drool over it to take out yours figure for display
Another worth buy for me.

New arrival collection - HD-1003 Enterbay Bruce Lee

At last my 3rd collection of Enterbay Bruce Lee has arrived. The box set is almost the same as previous one which made the box collection more in sync.
Back of the box is also almost having the same description as the 2nd collection. Among the 1000pcs collections, mine is serial no. 714

As usual, not intend to open up first as thinking whether to put it one sale few years later as Bruce Lee collection can fetch up to a high price in future. But Mrs Foon said "Aiyah, so crappy. I chop off my head you won't sell off your precious toy figures.

There is also a special cardboard stand too but unable to get a picture of that.

To me, I like this statue very much. I guess Mrs Foon was right again, may not going to sell it.

My another full COD collection

Last year, I managed to collect a full collection of Activision's Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2. This year Call of Duty Black Ops was created by Treyarch. Much to disappointment although the multiplayer maps are fun, but laggy online play really pissed alot of gamers here.
Nevertheless, their collectible edition really won my heart to collect it for display.

As usual, not to be missed, the hardcover of the guidebook which currently not easy to be find in local store. Comparing to Modern Warefare 2, I preferred the MW2 than a plain looking Black Ops logo.

The book also comes with a beautiful laminated calender guide maps for easy reference.

And now the presenting the Prestige Edition of COD Black Ops.

Able to get this R1 version which have a Certificate of Authenticity with a "Photo Frame" of the black Ops. Well is just piece of crappy shit paper. Maybe laminate it to made it more preciously grand.

The harden case looks definitely more attractive than the precious MW2. This time it also free a bronze medal which made you damn stupid it you wear it for outdoors. I wonder who will do that anyway.
My favourite of all that tempted me on collecting it the RC-XD remote control car.
It is the 3rd killstreak of the COD game that you can remote control the car and explode it remote to kill your enemy.

The toy remote car was replicated almost exactly the same as what it has shown in the clip above. (of cos, it doesn't explode) . This toy is damn impressive to me.

Overall the car preformed very well, the video are quite clear as it is in colour. It speed adjustment really make alot of differences in speed. In high speed, the car travelled so fast that I can really controlled it well in my cramp little 5 room flat and more over the camera unable to track down the video smoothly in framerate if you will to control it through the surveillance camera. That's damn crappy. Well a toy is a toy, what can you expected. Anyway running in Low...low speed still able to capture the motion well through the cam.

Microphone is good, loud and clear but you can't hear the environment unless it is stop because the car motor sound is too loud. I wonder how to "kill" someone remotely when everyone knows there is "bomb car" coming so loudly to them.

Hot Toys War Machine, chioer...

After 6 months of long waiting, my war machine from Hot Toys has arrived to my home. Surprisingly the built of the model is better than I have expected.
It is slightly bigger than my Iron Man Mark 3 which I think is reasonable with all his heavy armor were bulit in.

Specs collections

One of the spectacle shop in Jurong Point was having great promotion. Selected specs costs 88 bucks and the second pair cost only 9.90. Been years that I have make a decent specs. Time to make 1 for reservist, 1 for home, 2 for outdoors.

Half frame specs 88 bucks
2nd piece only 9.90, looks weird on me when I wear it..but who cares ..is cheap.
This pair cost slightly more expensive but I like the weightless feel.
This one is the most expensive as it is branded but since it is also given 60% off discount. Just hoot it.
Full collections... total damage 500 bucks, pricing equivalent to a pricing of a single branded specs. Worth it for me.

Recently I saw in the news that two young China guys managed to convert an ipod to an iphone.

In ebay I managed to find some authorized dealer selling in Singapore for a very cheap price.

Back cover is where you insert the battery and the sim card.
After inserting the ipod, you need to press the mini on-off power button behind. The instructions from the menu was quite misleading, I thought it was referring to the ipod on off switch instead. As a result my ipod cum phone doesn't seem to work.
A tone will sound will the peel is power on.
Of cos, you need to get your iPod jailbreak and install Yoison app to have the dial app install.
Does it look like an iphone?

Conclusion, It works like a miracle, but the speaker was not built-in in ipod, as a result the sound still sound like speaker phone. Anyway feedback from my wife when testing, sound received and call are still sharp and clear.

SMS of cos still works but does not support picture message. Another disadvantage of this peel is that when peel in used, ipod speaker will consider disabled. You have to use headphone to listen to your media instead.

Battery wise, don be mistaken that is will boost up your ipod battery life... You are wrong, it is use just to support the calling purpose only.

Nevertheless this apple peel phone can never substitute iphone but in term of bringing to a reservist camp, use a no camera phone. This is million time better than using my old Nokia phone as this phone can entertain me during my boring days in camp.

Last week just collected my Enterbay Ip Man. Do not have chance to toy with it until I came back from a friend's wedding when all my "bosses" are asleep. At last can take some quick photo before I went to sleep.

The box was nicely designed which make you feel like displaying the box rather than the toy figure instead. But due to shipment and package handling, the box itself is kind of dusty and sign of scratches on the box itself. Nevertheless from far, you can't see it and it gave you a old vintage box feeling as in the movie...( lol trying to comfort myself....haaaa)The box is packed with Donnie Yen wearing a male cheongsum. I do not really like the effect of it, so I change it to the white china shirt instead. Change the hand posture.mimic the poster action.

My blog, wow...2 months no update. 2 months is short but alot of things has happened. Too many activities with my child. My toys hobbies coming in and in again. So busy to playing with it.

Still total engross with my iPad. No regrets of having one. Being everyday exploring new programs to fully utilize my device.

POW!, strip designer. Powerful comic strip creator in iPad. If you are creative enough, you are able to create tons of comics strip about yourself and you family. I bought this and I can't find any "free HD version" on my jailbreak pad. Anyway no regrets...really.

Pictures tells a story short and sweet. With little of your imagination, a short comic strip is up. This is what had happened on my birthday.

23th July is the 1st launch of iPad in Singapore. Mrs Foon got me an early present. Intially she try to get it from VivoCity Best Denki during her lunch break. But the pads are sold out within an hour after the shop is open. She is started to make me 心痒痒 for having one now.

Just coincidence that I was MC due to bad cough under air conditioning room. Never thought of joining the early birds to queue at the Nubox Jurong Point as sick man having MC is suppose to stay @ home not roaming around instead. More over heard from live updates on forum that many stores were sold out within 1-2 hours.

At about 2pm, after doing housework, decided to go JP to tabao for lunch and kaypo kaypo how is the purchasing fever of iPad now. Upon reaching JP nubox, quite surprised there is still a short queue for iPad which means there is still some stocks left. So I asked the sales do they have anymore 64Gb Wifi? Well...天意... iPad is really meant for me to take home today. THEY STILL HAVE STOCKS. Well what I am waiting for? Since the queue is so short might well I join in the fun.

In the end I went tabao lunch, came a packet of food and an iPad with some accessories.
As usual, sleek packaging on the box.

A padding for my iPad is a must and bought a nice ergonomic iPad stand.
Bought iPad mainly for e-book reading, got at least 4gb of e-Magazine.Using Goodreader, very good app for reading pdf files. Preview of the Mag cover.

The contents able to show clearing the wording and pictures very sharp.
iPad is a great device for storing my photos and use it as photo frame when necessary.
The battery life is very good, been using for 2 days non stop, still left 40% charge.
Of course, change the home screen to my precious daughter.

Ever since I have own an iPhone 3Gs, I am totally into Apple products. I am very impressed with the speed and respond when using the phone. So I been wondering whether to make a switch from Windows to Mac enviroment.

One day, disregarding of my "heart bleed", I decided to fork out part of my saving and I got this...

Sure no regrets. No matter of large file transferring or opening of application, the processing speed is very fast compare to Windows. At last no more hourglass for me. To my surprise, Mac OSx is actually very user friendly compare to Windows.

Nice interface, sleek hardware design. Manz...now my Acer laptop is being "打入冷宫" now。

My new portable cam

I always loved my Nikon D90, considering is still an entry level DSLR. Anyway I am not a pro either. But always find it too bulky to whenever I need a quick snap of my daughter at home or outside. I need something small and portable with much quality of a DSLR. My Panasonic FZ-21 failed me with poor quality under low light situations.

Well my prayers are answered at last !!! Came in PEN series. They will quite expensive for me as a secondary cam for me. Luckily Olympus launched out EPL-1, cheaper but with better performance.
Actually I only purchased with the normal kit lens 14-42mm. But I am more attracted to the 17mm F2.8 lens instead but the pricing is out of budget for me. Luckily I was fast to get a 2nd hand deal with a nice gentleman who able to reserve this lens for me although few of ppl try to approached him with an higher offer.Well...now I am a proud owner of this camera and some sample shots while playing with it.

NTU recycle bag.

NTU appreciates that staffs are giving generously to 2010 Faculty and Staff Giving Campaign, is gving out incentive gift of a recycle bag to all staff as part of the effort to create awareness to the campaign.

Actually I did not intend to collect the recycle bag as it is just another normal bag to me. Anyway my superior has collected on my behalf and to my surprise, they really make a effort in package for just a recycle bag.

It comes a bag, and within a small bag, is the recycle BAG, bag within a bag, how interesting.

My new toy display from Enterbay, 1/4th Scale Bruce Lee collectible bust
Actually not my kind of style to collect non super hero statue and is in bust some more.
I was really attracted by the wooden base with laser carving, and of course the wax configuration features a real-like Bruce Lee head sculpt; real-like body proportion; head painting.
Above that and what they mention "Luxury packaging". No sweat, the box packaging looks so really classy.

Unique 1st month Gift.

Today received an unique 1st month gift from my colleague. When it was passed to me from far, I was, "Wow such a creamy blue cake".
Having a close look. Well, I was a blue towel. It was inedible. The only edible part was the chocolate hidden inside the thank you note.

Bought this over the weekend, ACryan HD media player. Never intend to get any media player initially as I always played my movies through my mini desktop. But recently got few 1080p HD movies which I can't play it from PC as it is too slow and jerky for a HD movie.

Struggling for some time as this was not under my wishlist of the year. Nevertheless money was still spent on it without any regret with few features that I really like it.

1) Fast bootup time compared to normal desktop. It take only 5 sec to on or off
2) Fast navigation in the media player.
3) Very clear video output in low quality movie format like rmbv.

With 1TB, I think the space will be use up soon.

definitely not Mrs Foon as she having OT in office. GHOST?....LOL You must be kidding.
Haaa.....Timer shot. Well, not really as timer sometime hard to capture the expression I want. Just some software setup I used to remote control my DSLR. Sounds cool, erhm....it did looks cool to me. Haaa...Haa.
Ok, first I installed this DSLR remote into my iPhone.
Then I setup my DSLR onto my tripod tilting down the angle of focus I want.
Connection cable from my DSLR to my laptop.
Run the DSLR remote server from my laptop. and this is the my setup from far
Now remote controlling the DSLR from my iphone.
Wah lah..happy man with his picture taken....erhm..except there is one uncooperative moving around. Sigh...

My threatre room is always my heaven after work. I cannot imagine what will happened if one day, Mrs Foon decided to close down my TR. I guess that I will have to wear red T-shirt and head banner and protest against her.

Anyway all this years, my threatre room slowly became more like a game room as I can't really blast the volume so loud from my BOSE speaker as my princess is always in the room with me.
My princess prefer me to play games in front of her and gradually she will be tired at staring it and fall asleep.

To fit the theme, I started to add some toys for display to enhance the beauty of my TR. Of course not so cutie toys lah.. if like that might well I put teddy bears and paint pink wall. LOL
So here are some of the updated pictures of my TR.

My marvels collections of mighty muggs - spideys and iron-man now became kind of limited edition as it is selling quite expensive for a full set now.

DIY photo frame

When technology advances, IT stuffs gets cheaper. Digital photo frame getting more and more common and cheaper even as big as inch screen size.
Well I found another more cheaper way.
EEEPC transforms digital photo frame. This is my old netbook that serve me well for last few years. Due to performance and my drooling waiting for my iPad to come. It is time that this netbook served its purpose.

Not bad right? I can also play background music ....more power than any normal digital photo frame.

At last I have the courage of getting a risk of heartache for weeks ...when I bought this !!!
Nikkor AFS DX 10-24mm wide angle lens with B+W UV-HAZE Filter, my 1st 4 digit price lens. I have long wanted to get a lens like this to take something different and landscape, early prepare for my next trip with my family.
Surprisingly no regrets of paying for it. after taking a few test shots.

At last some free time to blog again. A good show came in recently.

Hachiko, A Dog Story. Story about a faithful Japanese dog to his owner and return to wait for him at the train station for 10 years, unaware that his owner has passed away.
Quite a touching story to find such a faithful dog. I always have a usual habit of checking the movie on wikipedia in the mid of the movie. To my surprise, that this is a story from Japan, just that they rewrite in to be in America.
That's the good old Hachiko from 1923.
I like the how the story ends when the grandchild relate the story of Hachiko and his grandfather. Very touching to me, make me feel like want to own a dog now.....lol
But then hor, on second thought, maybe not I got one fierce animal in my house to trained her.
My little Vera cow..... I believe Mrs Foon will agree on that.

On a beautiful Sunday, we have spotted a nice welcome from Zoological Garden.
A MONKEY !!!!!!!...and is wiggling it's tail to us.
Haaa...opps is our baby daughter in disguise, I think she is complaining

She is quite like this monkey costume as it is soft and nice to touch, even ready to make some pose for me to take wonderful pictures of her. But wait need to set my DSLR to a proper setting before I can take good photos...

My new mini Keyboard

My threate room PC is actually attached to my PC mainly for multi-format video playing. Although I have a bluetooth keyboar and mouse for wireless controlling to the PC but is quite a hassle to take of the keyboard and mouse and place it on my table as most of the place are being took up by my laptop.
I need something small, light and convenient to act as a remote controll if I am using the PC to play movies.
Something caught my attention.
Logitech Mini dinovo bluetooth KB
A Palm sized KB with remote control and click Pad, which means built-in mouse or able to switch to click pad for easy clicking purpose.
Consist a battery and a bluetooth adapter, the adapter can be kept in the KB if you have an existing adapter in your PC
A switch behind to toggle between PC and PS3 usage, which mean this KB able to support 2 different devices at the same time
Not bad for a small size KB. They have consider alot of inconvenience of small size usage with mouse control. There is a button for right hand click, Function Key to program your shortcut keys. Multimedia button for easy controlling windows media player. It doesn't work good for me as I am using KMplayer. Nevertheless there are some shortcut keys for it.
Last but not least, light in the dark able for me to control the keys when the lights are totally out in my room when I am watching movie
Gee....I love my new remote control cum keyboard.

My new PS3

Last month my FAT PS3 have announced rest in peace. I knew that if I will to send to Sony repair for an out of warranty set. It will be 321SGD for it.

Nevertheless I send in the set the next day for repair, praying for miracle that the charges is only barely less than a hundred.
Days without PS3 is really bored for me. Mrs Foon make a suggestion that why not get another PS3 since the old one mostly likely to be very expensive to repair.
Mrs Foon really tempt me alot. Unlike other wives, she is 100% supportive on me playing games as a hobby even though that at I so hardcore into it. As long as money is not spent on other women, spend time with family and housework, of course....Yah....
Any type of big boys toys games I am allowed to play.
My 2nd PS3 ....SLIM !
Sony called me few days later, just as I expected SGD321 dollar if repair. BUT my fat set is an dinosaur version. It has not longer selling in the market. They offered a new HK set , but only 3 months warranty at the repaired price. Well since is a new set and I really like the design of the old set. So I decided to get it and make it another media set for my theatre room.
Now I got five controllers ...but where can I find 5 players at my home at the same time?
And 50 over plus of games, not to mention some were loaned to my friend.
Have not included my PS3 accessories yet. Damn ! I am a hardcore PS3 fan

Modern Warefare2 GuideBook (Paperback edition) and R1 game with the same cover. R1 game is a must buy for COD fans to get the latest DLC maps from US rather from R3 Asian server as they are slow
Modern Warefare2 GuideBook (Hardcover Presitge edition) with the tin collectors editon and an artbook. Is a must collection for me as I like the cover very much.
The eraseable strategy map free from the hard cover book. Plan your move during clan matches but I doubt I will be using it as I quit clan matches for good.
Modern Warefare Presitge Edition that consists of night goggle vision (toy) , one of my favourite toy for display to be.
Coming soon the display of the whole series of my collections.

Clement Chow, I always like him composed wonderful National Day song like "Count on me, Singapore", a piece of heartwarming song that I have listen from young.

This year, he had written heartwarming song for NEA called "Let's Make Our World The Most Beautiful Home".

The lyrics are very catching and reminds me the young days I was when I was watching the music video.

Although, I don't play much Wii nowadays, but I still love the crazy character of Rayman Raving Rabbids. One day I was happened to be in my favourite game shop, they just arrived it when I was chatting with the boss there.

I always wanted a display of the rabbids at home, this is it.... the Rabbids Wii controller charger.

I got friends asking us how come they don see me blogging on my daughter' life. Well, Mrs Foon has turned my Vera into a little blogger as young as she was in Mrs Foon's tummy a year ago.

My theatre-room is full of my figurines display. Mrs Foon is threatening me again that if I am over congesting it in the room. She will assured me that I will find these toys in ebay in no time.

Sigh... no choice I have to find a new home for my 2 newly bought Iron-man from Hot Toys. Luckily at this time, my office have redundant space for it. But it will be questionable to my superior that I bring those stuffs to work.

Came with an idea that I ordered 2 display cases to prevent dust from laying my toys. Next, I fixed 2 bookstand for stability. Then........

Early June was the celebration of my daughter first month birthday, alot of relatives and friends coming to our house are kindly and considerate to declare to us that they have not been to any of the virus-infected countries. but there's one who have been to Taiwan, offered to quarantine himself for sake of responsibility to ones and others well-being.

Once again, thanks for being considerate and understand what me and my wife are concern about, but except for one who was selfish and rude, scolded me without first understanding the whole situation and accused me for being rude to hurt her feelings, then went backstabbing and complaining to my wife. I am glad Mrs Foon stood firm and knows whose in fault based of the conversation I have saved for her to see from the MSN.

Anyway, Me and my wife were quite pissed for what she type in the MSN till now and we are still glad that in the end we did not invite this kind of people for the party.

The party main attraction is not only on my daughter Vera. There are also few young generation kids looked good in the camera actions too.

Cheri, the 2nd child of my brother and sister-in-law. A very naughty mischievous child who always bully her grandfather, my father. Never failed to please us in our family when the talk was on her.
Asking her to strike a pose for me. She said "OK"
Another pose she make with my niece, Densia. A teenager that was being take care by my mother from young. I watched her from a baby till a young teenager. We always treated her as our own family.
This handsome little boy, Nigel. The eldest child of my brother and sister-in-law. Cheri's elder brother. Peace loving child who always get bully by her younger sister. The good point of him that he won't get angry but loved and take care of the younger ones including my baby daughter. Simply love his sensible character but to over engross in his Nintendo DS gaming. Just like me, a gaming kid.
He never failed to make funny faces to people.
Denisa was so boring and Nigel is so happily munching his food.
LASTLY, not forgetting the main cast. VERA !!!

When I took up photography as a hobby, my motive is to take wonderful moment pictures of my daughter, wife and my family members. It is alright that abstract or landscape is keep as soft copy or even upload to Internet. But it is a pity for me that closed ones of mine can only keep in soft copy but not printed as photos and shared your sweet past moments, sitting and looking at it together.

Nevertheless today's technology, bringing digital photos to print out becoming more and more common and cheaper. But it served no advantage for me as you need to collect in bulk for print out in order to get a cheaper pricing. I think it will take me years to collect it as I only printed out those with best moments or captured in my life.

My dream came true as I walk past Sony Ericsson shop today an found this.
Sony mini photograph printer...selling for only 60 plus bucks !!!! More than 60% discount of the original price.
I bought this not only the printer is dirt cheap, the photo papers that use for printing are really genuine quality in terms of thickness and weight compared to those normal glossy photo papers for normal printer. I can really feel a difference there.

Yesterday was another fine day again for some shoots. Just realized that I do not really like to do nature shots. A 20 mins walk in Botanic Garden, I am out without taking any good shots. I guess maybe I don have equipped the proper lens for taking the wonderful flowers there.

Instead I still prefer taking shots of people while walking around.

This man came in just in the nick of time for me to picture in frame giving me an idea that he is walking to Infinity walkway.

Well... It was just another waiting game.
The kapo man meets the kapo photographer. There is some commotion across the road but I am more interested in taking this onlooker than the happening across there.

Yesterday was a DAMN hot day, but is a good day for my phootshoot in Vivo. Lucky day that I met my neighbour giving a ride to VivoCity instead of taking a MRT.

Having reach at the destination, of course sure take a picture of the building, to prove to Mrs Foon that I did not roam around other than that area as promise to her.

Don't want wait somebody ( -> Mrs Foon) accused me of running to other places instead.

Vivo is a great place for me to try out my 55-200mm lens. Great for a couple of candid photos of adorable kids playing around.
This kiddo is so cute, can't help it to take a few more shots of him.

Boys who used to be 80's kids G.I Joe, 80's US animated series. I was a fan of them when I was young.

Now the year 2009, US is coming to big screen as the G.I JOE, The rise of Cobra.

Snake eye is always one of my favourite character as portrait in on the the Joes. He is fast, agile and cool.

A Preview look at the "real" snake eye in the movie.

Cool manz .... I wished SAF issue this kind of outfit rather that the pixelised camo No.4 . All the friends I knew are not in favour of the lastest design. Looks like a bunch of full monty soldier walking around.

I got to have this cool snake eye figure. Well my friend cum colleague answer my prayers.

He got me a bare snake eye status and painted it from scratch !!!!!! The G.I JOE wording traced and painted from a bared base. With a gross finish touch made the base looks more classy.

Focusing the look at dim lighting.

The statue is not on totally black, so as the figure should able to tone out abit even in dim light.

Now looking at his muscles.

Nicely tone painted by my friend and look carefully that the belts and it's accessories are not in totally single tone color, few shading making like wear & tear look.

The back view looks neat...

Really like this figure, as it is affordable. Anyway if you need his paint work, you can engage him for a minimal painting fee.

Scary Mrs Foon's shopping spree

Chinatown, has became my wife favourite spot for shopping.....
OH MY GOD...!!! what does married life have changed my Mrs Foon. She used to bugging me for going Orchard shopping instead.

This time she has been bugging me to go Chinatown instead. SHooping for auntie clothes?

Nah...she is still to young for that. She has discovered a great place for shopping toiletries instead.

Can you ever imagined that buying some basic toiletries can take you about an hour? She have been comparing the price among the few good lobang shop, hopefully to get the best deal.

Yup, she got it !!!! and she bought it ALOT !!!!All 5 of them !!!!
She grabbed the whole lot of hair gel for me.

Even the cashier was surprised and hinted me "Erhm...Do you want to try other "good" brand, cheaper and better."

LOL...I think she must ran out of stock, nothing for her to display.

Next, Contact lens solutions, we left 2 bottles. Guess that can last for at least 2 months. But Mrs Foon saw good discount again, swept the whole lot of the shelve again... THE WHOLE LOT... !!!

OH MY GOD !!!!....10 BIG bottles and 5 small bottles. So many I think one year also cannot use finish.

What a SCARY Mrs Foon and what a POOR Mr Foon, he have to carry all the stuffs home himself. Soooooo Heavy.....

Why every Sunday I go for photo shoot sure will rain? Luckily that was about end of my shoot....whew...

Before I leave, the last stop, managed to hoot my tripod after been researching which model of the tripod suit my needs in future.

Decided on Benro A550EX, one of the good brands to consider beside Gitzo or Manfrotto.

As usual, tripod came with a nice padded bag.

folded height = 584mm without ballhead.

It can be unlocked to adjust to even lower height

The tripod is a package of the ballhead BH01, but I decided to pay more to upgrade it to more heavy duty KB-1A.

Similar with BH-01 which able to support up to 6kg, but there are few features of the ball head which draw me to attention to pay more for it.

Features like locking and drag control to prevent accidental misuse, patent quick release safety lock to prevent accidental removal of the camera as it is required the release of the safety lock as well as loosening the main lock.

My favourite 360 degree of panning shooting. Come useful to me for panorama shoot.

A pleasant surprise that my family came in to visit me when I am doing housework. I showed my father my flash unit that I have bought for indoor photography.

Just nice, my father wants me to do some demo results using from the flash unit.

Lately been struggling around whether to get a Nikon 18-200mm zoom lens, with the power of zooming more than my current kit len 18-105mm.

Finally I got this 55-200mm instead, alot cheaper than 18-200mm, the same quality of pictures taken except for the built quality, no doubt 18-200mm really worth the price to pay.

The shop assistant told me that actually 55-200mm lens has gone up. As they are still holding the currently available old stocks, I got a very cheap pricing for 299 SGD.

With the spare cash left, I decide to opt for a flash kit SB-900

As basic, a flash unit is very useful especially for indoors shoot as it produce an instantaneous flash of artificial light to help illuminate a scene.

Below show that a picture was taken indoors with very minimum light available, I need to boost up a little on the ISO to brighten up the picture. Hence the shutter was still slow, as a result picture was still blurred due to handheld.

This picture was taken using with the built-in flash from the camera, the flash was flashes towards the object. Giving a strong light focus on the object and background alittle dim. Not very natural lighting produced.

Last picture was taken with the flash unit SB900, the flash light was bounced to the ceiling, giving an artificial lighting to the room, giving the object more natural look.

I got selected to Hall of Frame !

Last Sunday, got a pleasant surprise email from Nikon Club website.

One of my photos was been selected by the Editor in to the Hall of Frame under Editor's Choice, giving me 150 redemption points extra to exchange for a Nikon jacket I have been eyeing for.

Happy enough as I am still consider a newbie in photography, never knew my works can be selected by them. It is sure a great boost confidence to my works.

Anyway the selected works is "Walking towards the Light of Hope" which was mentioned from my last post.

As usual on Sunday, 四马路观音堂 is always packed with devotees praying well-being for their family members.

An usual practice for me that I always try to take an extra day leave after the Lunar New Year. Something different that I am not gonna lazying in my home for gaming. Maybe this year something different. Pretending to be a One Day Tourist, playing with my new toy, my FZ28 big bro. Nikon D90.

My first stop started at City Hall MRT. First visit Singapore War Memorial Park

The Civilian War Memorial is dedicated to all those civilians who suffered and died during Japananese Invasion Period in Singapore.

From information gathered from Internet, ( I have long forgotten my Singapore history, too much Malaya history during my Secondary school days...Sigh..)

Four identical pillars rising more than 60 metres high symbolize the shared experiences of the four major races of Singapore - Chinese, Malay, Indian and other races. The remains of the unidentified war victims are buried beneath the monument.

Blazing hot day, The seats with no shelter would forever seen empty in the day time.

Seem like it is an useful tool for shelter rain and shine rather for communication purpose

You can't find much classical street lamps in Singapore anymore.

Victoria Threatre, great history behind, was used as a hospital for victims of bombing attacks by the Japanese Battle of Singapore during the WWII, Served as the venue for Japanese war crime trials during Japanese Occupation period. In 1954, it was the venue where the PAP was founded and lastly in 1979 onward, slowly become a gallery cum concert hall.

2nd Day of Lunar New Celebrations

As usual, the celebration was host at my eldest auntie's house. About 20 years old plus HDB flat in Serangoon Central.

A last seen of 3 HDB lift soon as I heard tat they will be tearing down one for upgrading purpose.

The first Chinese New Year decorations the caught my eye, hanging in the center of the living room.

Everyone as usual cannot resist the good food prepared by my mother and my eldest auntie.
Good food always don't saved much. Within minutes shark fin, 鱼生, abalone soup...even bee hoon almost finished once they were taken out.

Seem like someone had not enough good food. I saw someone stealing chocolate without her mummy's notice.

Everyone after meal, favorite activities. Chinese New Year healthy gamble fun...21

Non-gambler like us, can only entertain among ourselves...

like...my nephew playing with baby doll, Gee...he must damn bored.

2nd Day of Lunar New Year Celebrations is always more fun and interesting than the 1st day of my wife's family Lunar New Year visiting.

The 1st day was kind of different that Mrs Foon's grandmother was admitted to Nursing Home due to an injured leg and no relatives able to take care of her as everyone was working.

No one initiate to bring her back for on the 1st day of CNY celebration not to mention the eve dinner. My father-in-law being a filial son, brought her back on the 1st day for a small reunion celebration.

I came came across from my wife's cousin Paul's blog, claiming to be a filial grandson. I would see that he is just a rude and disrespectful young man I would dared to name.

He was complaining that "Someone's individualistic and selfish action to bring his grandma home without informing them." Obviously this rude brad was naming my father-in-law and dared not to name him as that was his usual cowardly pattern. I was quite pissed with what he wrote as this was so disrespectful as my father-in-law is still his elder. he has not right to write in that manner though he was in the fit of anger.

Not informing them? Gee....that's strange how come some of his relative knows where his grandmother was? Even though that they were not informed, obviously that he should be smart enough to ask around his uncles and aunties where is his grandmother. I am sure the nurses there know who have her discharged with. Instead of him complaining that they had waited for 6 hours for nothing. It is simply showed how stupid was him.

"I just hope that some people don't treat us as transparent as grandma is also our elder and not only theirs."

Well, If he don't want to be treated transparent, I do hope that he should treated others with respect whether being his elder or not.

I am lucky that I need not in contact with this kind of cousin.....Wheww.....

Recently Amazon has big discount for few camera lens. Not forgetting my little toy baby FZ28 I have got this semi fisheye len for some creative candid shot.

Pleasant surprise that it came with a nice box to protect the len.
